Job Description

Position Summary:

As the HR Gen you will support the overall Human Resources Department’s goals by being the main point of contact for HR-related questions from employees and external partners, take ownership of all administrative HR duties as well as drive our hourly recruiting initiatives. Your main administrative duties include maintaining personnel records, managing HR documents (e.g. employment records and onboarding requirements) and updating internal databases.


  • Organize and maintain personnel records
  • Update internal databases (e.g. new hire data entry and changes)
  • Prepare HR documents, like employment offers and new hire guides
  • Revise company policies as needed and directed by the HR Manager
  • Create regular reports and presentations on HR metrics (e.g. turnover rates)
  • Answer employee’s queries about HR-related issues
  • Assist payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and work schedules)
  • Arrange travel accommodations on an as needed basis
  • Coordinate and oversee the hourly recruitment and on boarding process
  • Schedule and coordinate employee orientation and on boarding
  • Track the use and maintenance of the company’s fleet vehicles and corporate apartments
  • Maintain certain compliance reporting & required postings
  • Process required check requests, CC reconciliations & invoice coding
  • Plan and coordinate employee events
  • Process employment verifications
  • Assist with worker’s compensation claim filings and follow up
  • Represent the HR Department on the plant safety committee
  • Conducting new hire employee reviews & exit interviews on occasion


Minimum Requirements:

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in a fast paced HR department preferably in manufacturing or warehousing
  • HR professional certification or degree is a plus
  • No family members as current H&T Nevada employees
  • Thorough knowledge of labor laws
  • Experience working within an HRIS preferably Kronos

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail
  • Computer literacy (MS office)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at a time
  • Strong time management
  • Superior ability to express judgement with regards to confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable
